Johnny Hallyday – Hamlet [1976]

What a piece of work is a man! How noble in reason! How infinite in faculty! In form, in moving, how express and admirable! In action how like an angel! In apprehension how like a god! the beauty of the world! The paragon of animals!

And yet, to me, what is this quintessence of dust?

Man delights not me; no, nor woman neither, though, by your smiling, you seem to say so.

Hamlet, Act II, scene II
Here’s something that our pal Joe Le Taxi sent us – although he isn’t a Johnny fan!

Here, Johnny does Willy the Shake! Sounds kinda weird? It is fucking weird!

Here Johnny’s messing about with the Bard’s greatest work – and my favourite – Hamlet!! Has he no shame?!

A follisome project, and typically overblown. But some nice tunes / melodies in here.

If Johnny’s supposed to be ‘… the French equivalent of Elvis Presley’, then close your eyes for a moment and imagine Elvis singing Hamlet! Then check this!!

There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

The album also has contributions from starfucker supreme, and future Queen of Franceland, !!

The lyrics of the tracks (look for the track’s title) can be had here: Hallyday Lyrics

38 Fully-Dramatized Plays (Arkangel Shakespeare)

… but, do I really need to say, read Willy’s majestic play itself instead!!

Or if you’re a lazy motherfucker and/or dumb, you can listen to the great work in the magnificent Arkangel Shakespeare BOX SET we posted a few weeks back!

More Johnny info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Hallyday

Enjoy Johnny Shakespeare 😉

Here’s the new album from the Queen of France, Marie Antionette II!

As Marie Antionette II was a skinny model and therefore doesn’t know what cake is, her slogan is Let them eat CDs!

Unfortunately, her music career still did not cease after becoming Queen of France!

https://i1.wp.com/bittenandbound.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/carla-bruni-wet-shirt.jpgBruni will release her third album “Comme si de rien n’était” (As if nothing happened) on July 21, 2008.

The songs are self-penned except for an adaptation of a poem by the great Michel Houellebecq (our favourite modern French author by a country mile – or should that be a country kilometer!) set to music.

Royalties from the album will be donated to unidentified charitable and humanitarian cause. Perhaps the Foundation for Damaged Eardrums!!

Tracklisting

2. La possibilité d’une île (Michel Houellebecq) — 3:57 – The possibility of an island

Carla Bruni – “L’amoureuse”

Here’s the vid for Carla Bruni’s “L’amoureuse”, i.e. The Lover, in which Marie Antionette II gets all her goodies out!

Only kidding , though we’ve seen a few pix (well, hundreds of pix!) of Bruni from back in the day and some of em were rather moving!!

Those shots were from her pre-MILF days though!

Big thanks to the original poster

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy wants to fuck Bob Dylan?

Carla Bruni’s now Carla Bruni-Sarkozy! What a lovely ring it’s got!

What a lovely ring she’s got from Sarky!

This chick – who’s been around the block more often than the pavement that surrounds the block! – has already unleashed a few albums on the unsuspecting world. Well, only France really, cos not a sinner outside Gaul bought the damned things!

Now she threatens to unleash a cover of Bob Dylan’s great You Belong To Me in an impending album.

Not content enough with fucking Sarky, she wants to fuck poor Bob!

Oh, the humanity!

Why do these bimbos feel that they need to inflict aural pain unto the world?

Just give us pictures of yourself scantily clad! That’s enough! Seriously!

Well, just pictures from 10 years ago or more! (Well, we do adopt a strict anti-MILF policy here at Stupid & Contagious!)

No aural pollution please!

French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy’s next album, in which she sings of her love for husband Nicolas Sarkozy, will be released in July, her agent has revealed.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/

The Italian-born model-turned-singer’s third album contains her own rendition of Bob Dylan’s dewy-eyed ballad You Belong To Me, with blatant references to exotic destinations she and the French President visited last year during their lightning romance.

“See the pyramids along the Nile… Just remember darling, all the while, you belong to me,” she croons in the Dylan song.

Egypt was the couple’s first foreign destination last December, where they were photographed smooching and strolling hand in hand by the edge of the desert sands.

The President proposed fortune in Egypt on Christmas Day, offering her a pink heart-shaped diamond Dior engagement ring. They were married in Paris on Feb 2, just three months after first meeting.

“See the market place in old Algiers… Just remember till your dream appears, You belong to me,” the Dylan lyrics go on.

Commentators suggest this refers to the President’s trip to Algeria, when he left his fiancee alone back in Paris amid controversy over their public displays of affection.

The final line includes the words, “Fly the ocean in a silver plane… Just remember till you’re home again… You belong to me’.

This is said to be a parallel with Mr Sarkozy’s frequent overseas trips on the presidential jet.

French daily France-Soir, one of the first to hear Mrs Bruni-Sarkozy’s version of the track, said: “Bruni is an intelligent woman and will well aware of all the references to her own life and her romance with the president.

“She is far too clever for this to be a coincidence.”

Her agent Bertrand de Labbey said “95 per cent” of the tracks on the album were either written or chosen before she met the president.

Among the 14 tracks is a song called Ma Came (My Junk) – a reference to drugs that is in fact a love song.

Written more than two years ago, it is nevertheless dedicated to her husband and likens her man to a soft drug: “My guy, I roll him up and smoke him,” she sings. The Elysée is reportedly uncomfortable with the line.

The album also includes an Italian ballad and several of her own brooding poems set to music. One is based on controversial French author Michel Houellebecq’s novel, La Possibilité d’une Ile (The Possibility of an Island).

Mrs Bruni-Sarkozy, 40, composed the music and wrote the lyrics to most of the songs on the album that is due out in France, Britain, Germany and Italy on July 21.

“It is now almost complete. It’s just a matter of perfecting it but, as she is a perfectionist, it will take a little more time,” said Mr Labbey.

Her first album, Quelqu’un M’a Dit (Someone Told Me) sold 1.2 million copies in France and 800,000 abroad after release 2002.

But No Promises — her second released early last year featuring English poems set to music — was less successful with only 80,000 copies sold.

Mc CryINair Ryanair sued by Sarkozy

https://i1.wp.com/www.smh.com.au/ffximage/2008/01/31/RyanairSarkozy_wideweb__470x462,0.jpg

Le Parisien newspaper published their photograph with a cartoon bubble coming out of Ms Bruni’s mouth saying, “With Ryanair, my whole family can come to my wedding”.

The Mc Donalds of Airlines just never give up being cnuts!

From The Irish Times http://www.ireland.com/

Ryanair’s wings clipped as Sarkozy, Bruni win damages

A French judge yesterday upheld the right of the French president Nicolas Sarkozy and his new bride, Carla Bruni, to control the use of their image. Judge Louis-Marie Raingeard ordered Ryanair to pay a symbolic €1 in damages to Mr Sarkozy and €60,000 to Ms Bruni.

The couple filed a lawsuit against Ryanair on January 28th, the day Le Parisien newspaper published their photograph with a cartoon bubble coming out of Ms Bruni’s mouth saying, “With Ryanair, my whole family can come to my wedding”. Ryanair said it accepted the decision and offered to pay a further €60,000 to a French charity chosen by Mr Sarkozy.

“Ryanair had already confirmed that this advert will not run again,” Peter Sherrard said on behalf of the company. He noted that the single advert generated “extraordinary worldwide publicity”. The airline did not know that Mr Sarkozy and Ms Bruni would marry on February 2nd, but their wedding had been expected since early January.

They filed separate lawsuits. Ms Bruni asked for €500,000 in damages; Mr Sarkozy for €1, a common practice when the plaintiff wants to make a moral point. When asked to explain the difference in the sums demanded, the Élysée spokesman David Martinon said: “For the president of the republic it’s a question of principle” whereas “for Carla Bruni, it is her profession, her image, so she suffers a financial loss”. Ms Bruni’s lawsuit cited damage to her career as a “model, author, composer and talented performer”.

Only once before has a French president sued for the use of his photograph. In 1970, Georges Pompidou won a case against L’Express magazine for publishing a photograph of him in an advert for motor boats.

Ryanair has frequently used the Taoiseach’s image in its advertising, particularly in relation to the building of a second terminal at Dublin Airport. One such advertisement depicted Bertie Ahern with a Pinocchio-style nose.

But a Government spokesman said any decision on the part of the Taoiseach to sue the airline as Mr Sarkozy had done would be a “private matter”.

Carla Bruni – No Promises

Carla Bruni – No Promises

Here’s famous booby Euro model cum star-fucker.

Before she went on a recent Egyptian holiday to drain Froggy President Sarkozy, she knocked this one out!

https://i1.wp.com/www.micheljansen.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/01/carla-bruni.png

This is the second album of French/Italian model-cum-chanteuse, being two years in the making.

No Promises is a unique and personal interpretation of some of the greatest poets of the American and British traditions, including texts by Emily Dickinson and W. B. Yeats! A rather incongruous grouping, one would have to say!

https://i0.wp.com/imstars.aufeminin.com/stars/fan/D20060919/1014_553626655_carla_bruni_6_H200552_L.jpg

This popular French/Italian singer delivers her first English language CD and it is a beauty, setting some American and British poetry to music in a manner in which the most accurate description is “simply lovely.” With a honey-smoked voice like a young Marianne Faithfull, the songs exude a peaceful mood like being the last couple on the dancefloor in the backyard of a Southern mansion on a magnolia-scented sultry summer’s night.

The soulful, languid vocals build up a momentum as the CD moves along and, as a whole, are a lot less sleepy than Norah’s latest effort. Try “I Felt My Life with Both My Hands,” “Promises Like Pie-Crust,” “If You Were Coming In The Fall,” “Ballade at the Thirty-Five” and “At Last The Secret Is Out” and taste the musical delicacy that is Carla Bruni.
