A T-shirt printed at the request of an IDF soldier in the sniper unit depicting a heavily pregnant Palestinian woman in the crosshairs above a slogan reading “One shot, two kills.’
“…Dead babies, mothers weeping on their children’s graves, a gun aimed at a child and bombed-out mosques – these are a few examples of the images Israel Defense Forces soldiers design these days to print on shirts they order to mark the end of training, or of field duty.
The slogans accompanying the drawings are not exactly anemic either: A T-shirt for infantry snipers bears the inscription “Better use Durex,” next to a picture of a dead Palestinian baby, with his weeping mother and a teddy bear beside him.
A sharpshooter’s T-shirt from the Givati Brigade’s Shaked battalion shows a pregnant Palestinian woman with a bull’s-eye superimposed on her belly, with the slogan, in English, “1 shot, 2 kills.”
A “graduation” shirt for those who have completed another snipers course depicts a Palestinian baby, who grows into a combative boy and then an armed adult, with the inscription, “No matter how it begins, we’ll put an end to it…”
An extract above from a very disturbing story which shows the real mindset of Israeli soldiers, from the online edition of the Israeli daily newspaper ‘Haaretz’ here
Another story here explores how during Operation Cast Lead, Israeli forces killed Palestinian civilians under permissive rules of engagement and intentionally destroyed their property, as evidenced by soldiers who fought in the offensive.
Yet another story here
alleges that IDF soldiers were given orders to fire upon the rescuers of injured Gazan civilians! “Rules of Engagement: Open fire also upon rescue,” was handwritten in Hebrew on a sheet of paper found in one of the Palestinian homes the Israel Defense Forces took over during Operation Cast Lead.
More Israeli soldier’s stories here.
Following the damning testimony the other day from IDF soldiers involved in the January assault on Gaza that unarmed civilians were deliberately killed, claims by warmonger Ehud Barak that the Israeli army is the most moral in the world
are now at last clearly being shown to be insane.
Tony “I don’t Care” Blair – recently awarded the prize “Second Biggest Warmonger in the World” by his “special friend” Chimpboy Bush – and his rabid right-wing Israeli paramour!
This is beyond crazy! But apparently real!
Failed Brit politician Tony “I Don’t Care” Blair, the “Special Envoy to the Middle East” , erm sorry “Special Envoy to Jerusalem” gets a big medal for his work to “improve the lives of citizens” and for his efforts to promote “democracy, human rights and peace abroad”!
Wait a goddang minute! Improve the lives of citizens? Where? Gaza? Iraq? Afghanistan?
Wait another goddang minute! Efforts to promote “democracy, human rights and peace abroad”? Where? Gaza? Iraq? Afghanistan?
This cnut should be awarded a big jail sentence, not a big medal!
Tony Blair will “stand tall in history”, President George Bush said as he handed the former prime minister the US’s highest civil award.
At the White House in front of his wife Cherie, Mr Blair received the President’s Medal of Freedom in recognition of his work to “improve the lives of citizens” and for his efforts to promote “democracy, human rights and peace abroad”.
But an earlier award, the Congressional Gold Medal of Honour, bestowed on him in 2003, remains unclaimed.
“It has not been minted yet,” a spokesman for Mr Blair explained.
At the time that the first medal was announced, at the height of the Iraq War, it was suggested that Mr Blair was delaying picking the award up out of fear of appearing to be a “poodle” of the United States. But an alternative explanation is that a complication over the medal’s design led to the delay in his acceptance.
The latest award was delivered in front of a Washington audience that included former secretary of state Colin Powell and former US defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
Mr Blair was one of three people being honoured in the ceremony. Former Australian prime minister John Howard and President Alvaro Uribe of Colombia also received the Medal of Freedom. Previous recipients have included Nelson Mandela and Pope John Paul II.
Mr Bush introduced the former prime minister by recalling his first meeting with Mr Blair in the US after the president came to power.
“A reporter asked if we had anything in common and I jokingly replied we both used Colgate toothpaste,” he said to laughter. Mr Bush added: “The truth is, I did feel a close connection.”
He went on to describe Mr Blair as a friend. “That friend was there after America was attacked on September 11 2001,” he said.
Great work Tony in your lucrative role as official “Envoy to the Middle East” on behalf of the World. Or some such dumbly nomenclatured bullshit!
You’re doing a fine job! Well, you would be, were it not for that pesky little Gaza annihilation campaign!!
And what does that very dubious role entail? Well, the UK’s most unpopular post-war Labour Prime Minister seems to basically be Bush’s lapdog overseeing US and, by extension, Israeli strategic interests in the Middle East! A role this grinning jug-eared warmonger previously fulfilled wonderfully well of course, primarily in collaborating with the US on the Afghanistan and Iraq invasions.
We’re wondering what the job spec for an Envoy to the Middle East – basically, a vast swathe of Moslem territory, plus little Israel! – might have been. What factors would enable the candidate best fulfil the role and warm himself immediately to most of the Middle East population?
Well, the job spec obviously must have included key requirements such as being an unquestioning lover of America, a warmonger with a history of Moslem carnage and an honorary Zionist!!
Of course, it’s well documented that Tony Blair has extremely strong ties to Israel going back at least as far as 1975 when Blair joined “Labour Friends of Israel” – a UK lobby group promoting support for a strong bilateral relationship between Britain and Israel.
Later, Blair struck up long-standing friendships with powerful wealthy Zionist benefactors and lobbyists such as Michael Levy and others who helped line Blair’s Election Campaign coffers!
Well, we all know the phrase “one hand washes another”! And sure as eggs is eggs, a number of these wealthy Zionist benefactors and lobbyists were in turn, for their trouble, made Lords by Blair!
As well as the peerages, some have stated that this reciprocal relationship also extended to aspects of UK Government policy. As well as the momentous Afghanistan and Iraq invasion decisions by Blair’s Government, most recently, heavy criticism came down upon Blair from all quarters for his failure to call for a ceasefire in the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict, when members of his own cabinet had openly criticised Israel for their actions!
This matter contributed to Blair’s approval ratings hitting the floor – earning him the cherished accolade of the UK’s most unpopular post-war Labour Prime Minister – and ultimately forcing his resignation.
Oy vey, this schmeckena Blair!!
Mazel Tov Tony in the role of “Envoy to Jerusalem”! Keep up the great work!
