Thomas Feiner and Anywhen – "The Opiates"

Good news from the excellent new label samadhisound – David Sylvian’s label – in relation to the rerelease by top Scandinavian act Thomas Feiner and Anywhen of their album “The Opiates”.

They write;

I wanted to let you know about the next album (our 13th release) that we are releasing on 7th July in the UK / July 29th in the US (through Ryko distribution).
Entitled “The Opiates” by Thomas Feiner and Anywhen, it is being described by David Sylvian as: “A lost Classic“.

The Opiates opens with “The Siren Songs,” an anxious orchestra buoys the captivating baritone of singer Thomas Feiner. This sets the tone for an album that’s stunning in its beauty, reminiscent of Sylvian, The Tindersticks and Nick Cave.

This updated, re-packaged and newly mastered edition (which was not previously widely available) is presented as ever in a beautiful digipak featuring exquisite images taken by Cecil Beaton of Jean Cocteau and Marcel Khill smoking opium, and designed by our resident designer Chris Bigg (of 4AD design fame).

We’re offering an exclusive edit of one of the tracks as an mp3 for you to download.
